Tired of the Dalai Lama

What is it that endears people to the Dalai Lama? I think I must be the only person in the world who doesn’t like this guy. Every time he goes into his silly hysterical giggles I want to switch channels. I am clearly blind to the deep mystic side that others see.

  2. I think the problem is that westerners think that any exotic looking guy in simple rags is somehow living on a higher level and has some mystic knowledge. Perhaps a few do, but most are just exotic looking guys in rags...

  3. No, you're definitely not the only one. I find it odd that many, probably good intentioned people have made him a star/celebrity. I don't wish him harm but the deal about their relationship with the CIA and use as propaganda does create some questions. The other thing is that all the protests ( to re establish a feudal religious government in Tibet) are ok if feudalism is your thing, but how do you back it up if China is not interested? Somehow I don't think a war with China is in the cards over the issue. Steve TLley
